What is SharePoint Framework?
The SharePoint Framework (SPFx) enables your team to easily build client-side solutions that integrate with the modern SharePoint UX.
With the SharePoint Framework, you can use modern web technologies and tools in your preferred development environment to build productive experiences and apps that are responsive and mobile-ready from day one.

Customize the UI
Use the SharePoint Framework (SPFx) to deliver a custom branded solution and improved user interface with custom web parts and branding.

Extend the Platform
Develop custom solutions using the Microsoft Graph or other data sources to fully extend the capabilities in Microsoft 365.

Custom Applications
If you have complicated requirements, the SharePoint Framework (SPFx) can be used instead of the Power Platform to deliver highly customized solutions to your users.

SharePoint Solutions In Action

The Timlin team created an Article Viewer Web Part in SPFx.
The Article Viewer displays a full-sized read-only view of the associated Office document, allowing the user to scroll or page through all content. A sidebar allows the user to provide a “star” rating for the article, as well as submit comments or feedback for review by the knowledge management team. Each page view is stored in a custom list to provide more detailed usage data to site owners. Item security ensures users can only view articles to which they are authorized based on metadata classification and department membership.

Timlin was engaged to deliver a custom employee directory solution that could be viewed on a SharePoint site or directly in Microsoft Teams. Our team of expert developers designed and delivered the directory using the SharePoint Framework and utilized the Microsoft Graph API to pull the required data. The solution can be deployed on a SharePoint site as a web part, or deployed as a Teams application in Microsoft Teams.
